Swimmer of the Month
This special highlight was designed to recognize our athletes’ achievements, promote our club values, and inspire all members to reach their full potential. Each month, an Academy, Junior and Senior swimmer are selected for exemplifying what it means to be an outstanding athlete and teammate. Our focus will be on our three club values: Respect, Support, and Compete.
Nick Duffy
Gold
Nick Duffy deserves recognition for his outstanding dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence in his training goals.
His commitment to achieving his AA times is a testament to his work ethic, which serves as an inspiration to fellow swimmers. In every practice, he reflects his determination to refine his techniques, improve his speed, and enhance his endurance.
Nick consistently sets ambitious targets and pushes himself as well as his teammates. His positive attitude on the pool deck and perseverance even during long, challenging practices demonstrate the 3 core HTAC values: competitiveness, respect and support.
Way to go Nick!

Samuel Murphy
Junior Elite
Junior Elite is proud to recognize Sam Murphy as our Swimmer of the Month, a title well earned through dedication, resilience, and a pursuit of self-improvement.
This past month Sam has taken steps to truly embody what it means to be a committed athlete. Whether pushing through tough training sessions or navigating uncertain times, Sam has shown an improved understanding of what it takes to be a Senior swimmer on the Trojans.
Sam has worked hard this month to bring a consistent attitude to each practice, be it in morning, at night or on the Citadel for hills. While many might shy away from their weaker areas, Sam has chosen to face them head-on, attacking each stroke and skill set with purpose and precision. Sam’s renewed sense of enthusiasm and drive has been nothing short of infectious to myself and his peers.
In the water, improvement is hardly linear, but Sam’s recent attitude has shown that progress is possible when you meet challenges with courage and consistency. This recognition is more than a celebration of time or technique, it is a testament to character. Sam has begun to demonstrate what it means to be a well-rounded swimmer: embracing every part of the sport with a growth mindset and a fierce commitment to getting better.
Congratulations, Sam. Your hard work, attitude, and friendly nature do not go unnoticed. I am excited to see where your continued dedication will take you next.

Lauren Simms
Senior Provincial
Lauren has truly turned over a new leaf in her training!
She leads by example every day—always arriving on time, completing the group activation routine with focus, and being the first to hop in the pool. This has set a high standard for her teammates, and she consistently encourages others to follow her lead.
After starting the season with an injury, Lauren has shown remarkable determination in her recovery. She has stepped up to every challenge in the pool, and her hard work and perseverance have paid off with new personal bests at both the Fast and Furious meet and Age Group #5.
At both practices and competitions, Lauren exemplifies our Trojan value of support. She’s always at the end of a Trojan lane cheering on her teammates. One standout moment was in PEI, on her way to the warm-down pool, she stopped at four different lanes to cheer for fellow Trojan swimmers, even encouraging others to join her.
Her positive attitude, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the team make her a truly deserving Swimmer of the Month.
Well deserved Lauren!
